Dematic launches exclusive event series

Dematic has launched an exclusive international conference and networking event series for customers, kicking-off with the Material Handling & Logistics Conference (MHLC), to be held at the Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Airport on 18 February 2019. Further events are to be held at European locations from 2020 onwards – building on the success of over 30 such events held by Dematic in the USA.

The aim of the conference series is to inform and inspire logistics and supply chain practitioners by highlighting new trends and successful strategies. Internationally renowned speakers will offer cross-industry insights, examples of best practice and the latest innovative solutions in intralogistics.

The keynote speaker at the “MOVE – Your Supply Chain” conference in Stuttgart, will be Prof. Dr. Michael Feindt, Founder and Chief Scientific Advisor of Blue Yonder GmbH.

“The kick-off event gives participants a first taste of the MHLC,” says Jessica Heinz, marketing director at Dematic Central Europe. “The out-of-the-box approach puts even more emphasis on our customers’ needs to further optimise our automation solutions on this basis.” The networking event provides an opportunity to discuss both market and individual requirements.

The event programme is divided into four thematically defined streams, giving participants the opportunity to select the most relevant topic for their business needs. Across the streams, Laura Winterling, physicist and astronaut instructor, will address “work and leadership; Rand Hindi, co-founder and CEO of Snips considers the “power of data”; Franz Hero, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain & Logistics at SAP explores how companies “optimise workflows”; and in the fourth stream, three experts reveal “the next generation of the supply chain,” – Guido Baltes, director of the Institute for Strategic Innovation and Technology Management, Uwe Horstmann, futurist, investor, start-up founder and expert, and Luis Solis, director of the Advanced Learning Innovation Program at IE Business School.

The MHLC offers the opportunity to gain valuable insights and network in a relaxed atmosphere adjacent to the LogiMAT 2019 exhibition. Since there are a limited number of places, registration by e-mail is required at: [email protected].
