iDTRONIC adds new UHF Variation to its Android Handheld C4 Red Family

iDTRONIC Professional, a leading provider of robust RFID readers and mobile devices, today announced the C4 Red UHF GUN, a new addition to its popular C4 Red Handheld Computers product line. The multifunctional device has been developed for in- and outdoor applications and is equipped with an external UHF reader and ergonomic pistol grip.

The new UHF GUN version of the C4 Red handheld computer expands the existing product range, consisting of devices with internal UHF, HF and LF readers, by a device with external UHF reader and rigid pistol grip. This adaption enables a faster bulk reading and enhanced read range of up to 6 meters (20 feet). The C4 Red UHF GUN has a bright 5” HD display with touchscreen functions and LED backlight, built for outdoor use. Gorilla Glass 3 adds increased display and scratch resistance. Multiple buttons are available for convenient usage with working gloves,

C4 Red RFID mobile unit comes with the flexible Android 5.1.1. OS. It features a powerful quad-core 1.3 GHz processor. It has 2 gigabyte of RAM, 16 gigabyte ROM and offers several connectors and communication options, including LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and GSM. An 8 megapixel camera is fitted as standard.

The ISO1800-6C EPC C1 Gen2 compatible RFID unit is firmly attached to the housing and equipped with a circular polarized 3dBi antenna. It supports the 865 – 868 MHz frequency range. For combining multiple applications in logistics, warehousing and retail, a fully integrated 1D barcode scanner or 2D imager are available as options.

C4 Red UHF GUN is IP65-rated and offers ingress protection against dust and water. It is also protected against extreme temperatures, vibrations and drops from 1.5 meters (5 feet) to solid ground. The ergonomically shaped pistol grip adapts optimally to the hand and allows fatigue-free working throughout the day. With inserted battery the UHF GUN weighs less than 400 gram (0.88 lb).
