OPTEL LAUNCHES TRANSACTIONAL WEBSITE FOR EU FMD SOFTWARE

Pharmacies that have yet to comply with the European Union’s Falsified Medicines Directive (EU FMD) can now do so in just a few clicks, thanks to a new transactional website for OPTEL Certa™ Software verification and decommissioning solution.

As of the 9^th of February 2019, manufacturers serving European Union markets will be required to serialize and equip all prescription medications with tamper-evident features, while dispensers such as hospital and retail pharmacies will be required to verify and decommission medicines before dispensing to patients.
