Vanderlande holds ceremony for impressive new office building

Vanderlande today commenced construction of its state-of-the-art new office facilities at its campus in Veghel, The Netherlands. In a groundbreaking ceremony, the Mayor of the city of Meierijstad, Kees van Rooij was joined by the company’s Chief Financial Officer, Herman Molenaar, and construction partner Van de Ven to mark the occasion.

Vanderlande is expanding its campus with a new office in anticipation of continued growth and to offer the increasing number of employees a comfortable working environment. Scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2021, the 13,400m2 building will span six floors and 800 workstations. In addition, the innovative office space will have a multifunctional 400-seat restaurant, gym and outdoor boot camp area.

During the initial stages of this development, Vanderlande has paid significant attention to sustainability with the intention of receiving the BREEAM ‘outstanding’ certification. Energy-neutral construction is therefore a strategic choice for the company, because it can create a healthy working environment for its employees and achieve significant energy savings. Other decisions regarding the design of and décor for the new building were made in close cooperation with a young, key user group to accurately represent the wishes and demands of the broad Vanderlande family and present them with a futureproof working environment.

“Our new building has been designed to promote teamwork, and to ensure that our Veghel campus is a place where we can continuously work with a customer focus, learn from one another and innovate,” says Herman Molenaar. “This inspirational office space will positively contribute to employee satisfaction and help our people to excel.”
