In 2017 the team at Voiteq teamed up with CAFT, The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust and we are pleased to announce that after a year of fundraising we’ve raised a total of £5,095!
The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) is a charity based at Booth Bank Farm, in the heart of the Cheshire countryside and provides a variety of programmes for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the North West.
Mark Wilson, software engineer at Voiteq nominated CAFT to become the company’s charity for 2017 after winning employee of the year, together with the team at Voiteq they set a target of £5,000. Since then Mark and the team have donated over 100 hours undertaking a whole host of fundraising, volunteering, events and activities.
From dressing up as Christmas mascots for one of CAFT’s popular Christmas party events, to themed fun days in the office. We’ve attended fundraising events by CAFT including golf days at the Mere and an impressive Firewalk Challenge. We’ve also been busy hosting our own cooking challenges, charity auctions, sweepstakes and to top it off CEO, David Stanhope along with other members of the team completed a variety of marathons as well as the CAFT Santa Dash bike ride.
Mark Wilson, software engineer at Voiteq said; “I feel privileged to have worked with the team at CAFT, it’s an incredible charity that really does make a difference to the lives of the children it supports. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has been involved in fund raising and to all those families, friends and businesses that have donated over the year.”
Isabel McCabe, managing director at Voiteq said: “We are thrilled to have supported such a worthy charity in the North West and I’m very proud of Mark and the team at Voiteq for all their fund-raising contributions in 2017. We are extremely privileged to support these unique charities, that provide vital services to their communities. Everyone at Voiteq thoroughly enjoys being part of the fund-raising and we will continue to support other charities like CAFT for years to come.”
Alistair Laing, charity relationship manager at CAFT commented: “We’re so grateful to the fantastic team at Voiteq for their support, they’ve all worked so hard to reach their £5,000 target. As well as their heroic fundraising efforts, it’s also been brilliant to welcome them to the Adventure Farm to work with the children, they did a fabulous job at Christmas being our festive mascots – the children loved them! The money raised by the team will help us to change the lives of many children in 2018, children who are living with difficulties most of us couldn’t possibly imagine. Together with Voiteq we’ll change lives, that’s definitely something to be proud of.”
