XPO Logistics Joins Panel Discussion on Strategic Importance of Value-Added Services at Packaging Innovations

XPO Logistics, a leading global provider of transport and logistics solutions, will be joined by suppliers Nulogy and TrakRap at Packaging Innovations 2020 for a panel discussion on Leveraging Value-added Services to Better Serve Today’s Consumer Needs. The discussion will take place at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham on 26 February at 14:30 GMT. XPO’s booth will be located at stand G30 at the exhibition, which is the UK’s leading event for the packaging supply chain.

Mark Catley, business development director, supply chain – UK and Ireland, XPO Logistics, said, “I look forward to discussing value-added services, technology, packaging and consumer trends with Josephine Coombe from Nulogy and Simon Burrow from TrakRap. Value-added services are becoming increasingly important to 3PLs as growth drivers and strategic differentiators, particularly when they improve the consumer experience.”

Josephine Coombe, Nulogy’s UK managing director, commented, “The panel discussion at Packaging Innovations is a fantastic opportunity to share how digitally enabled value-added services are giving our logistics customers new ways to be more nimble and responsive in serving FMCG brands.”

TrakRap’s commercial director, Simon Burrow, said, “3PLs and their customers can realize huge savings in plastic and cardboard usage while reducing CO2 emissions by reconsidering the end-of-line packaging systems they use. Industry 4.0-enabled secondary packaging systems can accelerate eco-innovation and lower operating costs and this panel discussion is the perfect opportunity to raise awareness of this with retailers.”
