REGISTRATION OPENS FOR MICROLISE TRANSPORT CONFERENCE, THE LARGEST ROAD TRANSPORT CONFERENCE IN EUROPE

The Microlise Transport Conference, now a key date in the annual logistics calendar, has opened registration for the 2019 iteration, set to take place at The Ricoh Arena on 15th May next year.

The agenda will feature an impressive mix of speakers covering the major topics affecting road transport businesses; alongside a host of innovators who are pioneering the use of technology to empower and influence change.

The programme will include four focused workshops, access to 50 innovative exhibitors and a host of networking opportunities; all available to the 1,200 delegates the free-to-attend event expects to welcome once again.

“Our aim is to deliver lots of value to every single delegate. To that end, we’re already working on delivering a fantastic programme in 2019,” said Bob Harbey, Microlise Executive Director. “We’re busy curating what we hope will be the most exciting agenda the UK logistics industry has ever seen and we’ll be announcing news on that front over the coming weeks and months.”

The industry’s leading conference will build on its innovation and technology focus in 2019, offering insight on the big topics from clean air zones, automation and skills; to compliance and Brexit.

Filling the 6,000 square metre hall at the home of the Wasps rugby team, past speakers include HRH The Princess Royal, Royal Mail, DHL, the DVSA, Traffic Commissioners for Great Britain and Transport for London. Almost all of Europe’s HGV manufacturers have also been represented.

Quentin Willson, journalist, presenter and industry lobbyist, will once again be returning as conference host, introducing and putting the tough questions to speakers as put forward by delegates.

At the conference, the UK’s most talented HGV driver will also be presented with a special award following analysis of more than 200,000 drivers’ telematics data. Nominated drivers will also pick up Microlise Driver of the Year awards for HGV Hero, Lifetime Achievement, Extra Mile, Most Improved and Young Driver of the Year.

Following the 2018 conference, 98% of delegates who attended rated the event as excellent or good with the same proportion stating they would recommend the conference to colleagues and industry peers.
