Snowdon Timber streamlines ecommerce operations through Linnworks partnership

Snowdon Timber, one of the UK’s fastest growing online timber retailers, has overhauled its ecommerce operations by partnering with Linnworks, a leading global provider of multichannel inventory and order management software.

This integration has enabled Snowdon Timber to automate key fulfillment processes, standardise product listings across platforms, and gain real-time visibility of stock, helping the company to fulfil over 200 orders per day while reducing operational overheads.

Founded in 2019, Snowdon Timber has quickly scaled its online presence, selling through  prominent marketplaces such as B&Q Marketplace, Amazon, eBay and Temu. However, the company’s growth soon outpaced its manual systems, with spreadsheets and disjointed listings leading to overselling and inefficiencies.

By partnering with Linnworks and adopting its platform, Snowdon Timber has consolidated its ecommerce operations under one unified system, which has helped to streamline day to day workflows and improve stock accuracy across all channels, replacing the previous manual and disparate systems they were reliant upon. What is more, the business now also benefits from faster dispatch, improved customer satisfaction, and greater operational control, reducing the likelihood of missed deliveries, delays, or overselling incidents.

The integration was completed with minimal disruption, with Snowdon Timber’s team quickly adapting to the new platform. The improved infrastructure has laid the foundation for the company’s next phase of growth, which includes further automation, system integration, and a new industrial site currently under development in North Wales.

Jody Goode, Managing Director, Snowdon Timber, said: “Partnering with Linnworks has enabled us to futureproof our business operations. It’s helped us move from a reactive way of working to a model that’s scalable, controlled, and fit for purpose as we continue to grow. We have found as a business that having our systems connected together in one place and streamlined means we can stay focused on our customers while confidently building for the future.”

Chris Timmer, CEO, Linnworks, said: “Snowdon Timber is a great example of how a forward-thinking retailer can use the power of automation to overcome the growing pains of scaling online. These challenges are experienced by businesses all over the country as they scale and grow, but when equipped with the right tools, they can turn these opportunities into meaningful growth.

“By simplifying complex operations and bringing all sales channels into one place, Linnworks enables businesses like Snowdon Timber to focus on delivering exceptional service while continuing to grow at pace. It’s exactly the kind of partnership that shows how smarter workflows can give retailers the edge over their competitors, and step up to meet the expectations of customers and clients in the industry today.”
