Afag adds engineering services to its product range

Automation specialist Afag is expanding its product range with its TBK and TBP subsidiaries. In addition to the manufacture of precisely tailored solutions in the areas of feeding, handling and transportation, the Swiss company now also offers engineering services.

In the field of automation, Afag solutions have been prominent for several years. With their TBK and TBP subsidiaries, the Swiss company now also offers engineering services and supports the development teams of their customers. The 50 employees of the two companies develop machines, assembly and production lines as well as workstations and fixtures. The industry focus is on the construction of special machines and on the areas of machine tools, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, and automotive.

The two engineering service providers always focus on long-term cooperation with customers and early involvement in their projects. As a result, the many years of experience in mechanical engineering can be employed to the benefit of the customer, individual circumstances can be addressed at an early stage, and the costs and deadlines in the project can be positively influenced. In their designs, TBK and TBP attach importance to compliance with specific design guidelines. They are also flexible in their selection of the CAD system. Possible software solutions are DS Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, Siemens PLM NX, or PTC Creo.

The Afag subsidiaries are responsible for the complete project management of mechanical subsystems and semi-automatic workstations, from development and assembly, up to process acceptance. Production, installation and commissioning are carried out in collaboration with partner companies in the region, partly also in Asia.

TBK and TBP work according to regulated processes. The quality management system has been regularly examined by customer audits in recent years; TBP GmbH is certified according to ISO9001:2015. Thanks to their longstanding experience in development projects, the employees of the two technical offices can actively support their customers as well as provide comprehensive consulting and competent support.
